HTC Flyer, Tablet with Stylus

HTC finally bring the tablet PC Flyer for the Indonesian market. The tablet comes with a stylus technology / pen HTC Scribble, which is claimed by HTC is the only tablet currently using the stylus / pen.

"When many people think that the tablets are for entertainment and not suitable for work, then the HTC Flyer brings 'magic pen' as one of its superior features for expression as well and work," said Satrio Wibowo, Technical Support Engineer, HTC Indonesia, when presenting HTC Flyer to a number of journalists.

Operating system used on the HTC Android Flyer is 2.3.3 (Gingerbread). "But even then the OS is upgradeable, expandable to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) on approximately the fourth quarter of this year," said Satrio.

To order body, HTC Flyer uses aluminum uni-body construction, to be more robust and sturdy. Satrio say why wearing a plastic material, for the sake of easing the burden of products, because instead it makes it solid and not elegant.

The screen used by the Flyer is the 7-inch TFT LCD Display. Then in the Flyer, the display screen displays the taskbar and it can follow the movement of the tablet, if positioned vertial, taksbar display will follow, so when positioned horizontally.

For the camera, in front of the 1.2-megapixel resolution, while at the rear at 5 megapixels.

Memory storage for HTC Flyer is for 32GB. "For now circulating in Indonesia is only the 32GB version first," said Satrio.

As for the graphics display face, using HTC Sense Flyer 2.1, which can make users feel better 3D experience. This can be viewed through 3D lockscreen on the screen that does not seem dashed.


Serious affairs, HTC Flyer tablet has a weight of 420 grams (including batteries).

Satrio Wibowo said some of the features that are a mainstay in tablet HTC Flyer is: Scribe HTC technology at the stylus / pen, which is even capable of writing on the wallpaper in the main menu screen. Stylus is sold with the tablet. Then 3D User Eperience on the main menu screen, lockscreen and widgets.

This last feature is a mainstay of this product is an application service that would later entertainment content on the site server HTC. The services are HTC Watch, which is a service where users can rent and buy later a film. HTC Watch itself is divided into three namely: Watch Lite (available in late August), Watch Premium (available starting in October) and Watch Pre-Lite (available starting in May).

One more content services that will be seeded for tablet users flyer is HTC's Read, a later service where users can buy and read newspapers, books and magazines to electronic format.

Processors used by HTC Flyer is a single-core 1.5 GHz. While the battery used is 4000 mAh.

The Internet connection used by the Flyer is Wi-Fi and 3G. Display Web sites that appear on the display screen can also be the setting, whether it be a mobile version and desktop version. While its bluetooth connection is Bluetooth 3.0.

Satrio Wibowo said that while the HTC Flyer was launched today, but will be available in the market from early June.
